Applying to the Major

To be eligible for admission into the e-Business major, students must complete the six lower-level required courses with a grade equivalent of 2.00 or higher and a minimum average GPA of 2.70 for ALL six lower-level required courses. They must also pass the College of Business and Economics Computer Proficiency Exam. Degree candidates intending to major in e-Business are designated as “pre-e-Business” until they are admitted into the e-Business major. Students are required to meet each term with their assigned faculty adviser to evaluate their progress in completing the requirements for admission to the major and the degree.

Application Procedure

Students who will meet the admission requirements at the end of the term must complete an Application for Admission to the e-Business major and a change of major declaration form before registering for upper-level “majors only” CBE courses. The application form is available here and in the CBE Student Academic and Career Services office located in Stephens Hall, room 301.

Application Deadlines

The deadline for spring admission is Nov. 1; the summer and fall deadline is April 1. Failure to meet the deadline can cause a delay in registering for "major only" or upper-level CBE courses.
